What we learned from FC Cincinnati’s win vs. Chivas Guadalajara

FC Cincinnati's winning everything in sight right now, regardless of the opponent or what league that club is from.

FC Cincinnati on Wednesday took down mighty Chivas de Guadalajara, a club that's more than a century old and based in Mexico's Liga MX, in a 3-1 victory at TQL Stadium.

In addition to successfully carrying the Major League Soccer banner with the victory, FCC provided its depth players with valuable minutes, rested its stars and starters, and even seemed to gain a little momentum from the exhibition contest.

"I thought it was a strong performance from the group after a relatively slow start," FC Cincinnati head coach Pat Noonan said. "Once we figured out our defensive shape and how we wanted to press, I thought the guys did a really good job and turned that slow start into the close... I'm really pleased with the way the group came together and stepped up to beat a tough opponent."
